touch me with your naked hand, or touch me with yo...
friends do not let friends do crack
what made it special made it dangerous…
it’s not a walk in the park to love each other
Now the pale morning sings of forgotten things
There’s something inside you, it’s hard to explain...
heaven help me, I need to make it right
Take me back, ta-ta-take me back to the way that I...
and in the spring I shed my skin and it blows away...
In my simplified world we’re a boy and a girl

you get me closer to god

For a little while now I’ve been working on  a series of scrapbook pages based on different sexual archetypes, or personas in fantasy role-play. It started out as a sort of game between me and the man in my life. At first it never crossed my mind that I might show them on my blog. I made them just for him, to express my own ideas around each persona. I’ve left out the most explicit ones, but some of you might still find them objectionable, and I’m sorry for that. The reason I’ve decided to make them public rather than keep them hidden is because some of these pages are among my all-time favourites – and what would be the point in having a blog full of my second-best work?  The words I used are nearly all taken from books, songs, or poetry that to me, just fit in with each persona. All the images I used are from mainstream fashion magazines. Fashion is a surprisingly sexual industry, sometimes.

The characters I chose to explore are ones that I find artistically, academically, historically or dramatically interesting. From top to bottom, they are titled: Pet, Assistant, Maid, Virgin, Courtesan, Slave, Stripper, Captive, and Doll. I would love to know which ones people like…and which ones they don’t. We are such dirty, fascinating creatures, after all.

I love this book and your courage to showcase something so pesonal... but I also feel sad that so much of the content came from ads and how highly sexualised women are in society and that it's a normal thing.
But I love visual books and diaries and have one myself so you go girlfriend

You're so badass, my favourite is the virgin. Typical. They kinda remind me of Moulin Rouge (my favourite film of all time ever) and in the scenes inside the club where alll of the prostitutes are dressed in different ways to represent different fantasies. Like, one is a maid, one is in rags, an I think one is even a doll. It's kinda strange really. <3

Wow these are amazing! Ironically my favourite is the virgin one haha, and the pet, well done, these are all so cool! xoxox

They are wonderful! You are such a creative person, I love all of these and can relate to most of them. 'crawl to me you clever girl' and 'you get me closer to god' are my personal favorites. I may even have to send the 'you get me closer to god' one to the love of my life. I would love to see the ones you omitted from this post as I am sure they will be profound and full of things that will make my heart swell. I hope 'he' knows what he has in you, I really do. Because you are very special.

Lots of love,
Corinne x

I really like the first one, seeing as sex is such an animalistic act. A few of these I think I disagree with, namely the assistant, which is an interesting fantasy but also slightly demeaning, captive, and slave, which again, are interesting fantasies but can quickly cross the line into a rather worrying idea of what consensual sex means. But I think this is an awesome project, especially in that it allows you to examine what exactly the fashion industry is trying to sell us.

very interesting project. "Pet", "Virgin", "Captive" and "Doll" are my favourite ones. and i must say that you're very talented. each one of those pages has its own meaning and they're also well-made. great!

This is the coolest idea EVER!!! Not even kidding you! I don't wanna seem like a complete freak but I'm really into slave and captive.:) But the pet idea has never crossed my mind. Till now at least...:) That's also a really cool gift idea, right? I could throw in some personal pics too... I was just thinking about writing a post about penises, but I'm not sure if it's too much.:D But then again, why would it be??

I know the media objectifies women, and how some women find it degrating to see womens bodies cut apart... such as seeing a woman's body in an advertisement with the head cut off from the shot. I understand and agree to some extent, but I do think that womens bodies are far more interesting and beautiful than a male's.

I like the first collage, the page on the left with the image of a slender figure of a woman lying down. My eyes feel drawn to those blue soft tones, rather than the bright red lipsticks for example.

I don't really like the faces of models with puffy red lips, their faces hidden under layers of makeup. They are gorgeous, but would be so much more beautiful without any makeup and fancy dresses.

I like the "Twisted Virgin" legs in the 4th collage. Lace is so feminine.

I say, good for you for sharing these! If anyone feels offended that's their own problem, you are free to share anything you want.

I am in the middle of re-doing everything on my blog, and starting my scrapbook and you just gave me so much more motivation. You are an incredible human being and i love you.

Wow. you're really creative. I don't think this is offensive at all. i think as humans, we're inherently sexual and it's tough to live in a world in which we're constantly forced to repress it.

You've done such a wonderful job of making this artistic AND sexual at the same time, which is really fantastic.

I love this series of collages, and you've done agreat job

I'm really glad that I 've found your blog and I can't wait to see what other artistic ventures you go on

This is such a bold and brave exploration of human sexuality. I think it's a very complex and even somewhat fragmented dynamic that you have captured so well here. I am drawn to the 'pet' and the 'doll'.

I love the stripper one. I also like the virgin pages. I like the idea of sex being an almost religious act. I'll take sex over being stuck in some grim church any day.
